[Verse 2]
WH-Questions
He asked me, “Where do you go?”
I told him he asked me where I went, you know.
No question marks, and the word order’s new,
Just report the question—easy to do!
📘 Example:
Direct: “Where are you going?” he asked.
Reported: He asked where I was going.
“คุณจะไปที่ไหน” เขาถาม → เขาถามว่าฉันจะไปที่ไหน
Function: Report questions using normal word order and backshift tenses.

[Verse 3]
Yes/No Questions
“Did you see the show?” she said.
She asked me if I had seen it instead.
“Are you free?” became if I was,
That’s how a yes/no question does!
📘 Example:
Direct: “Do you like tea?”
Reported: She asked if I liked tea.
“คุณชอบชาไหม” เธอถาม → เธอถามว่าฉันชอบชาหรือเปล่า
Function: For yes/no questions, use “if” or “whether” and change tense.

[Bridge]
Commands & Requests
“Please sit down,” the teacher said,
She told us to sit down instead.
“Don’t be late!” turned into a plea,
He warned me not to be late, you see.
📘 Examples:
Direct: “Close the door!” → She told me to close the door.
“กรุณาปิดประตู” → เธอบอกให้ฉันปิดประตู
Direct: “Don’t forget!” → He told me not to forget.
“อย่าลืม!” → เขาบอกฉันว่าอย่าลืม
Function: Use “to + verb” for commands; “not to + verb” for negative ones.
