Question Tag

[Verse 1]
When you’re sure, but want to check,
Add a tag right at the end!
Use a comma, then the twist,
Like a whisper on the wind.
Example 1:
🌟 You’re a student, aren’t you?
The sentence is true, the tag’s in reverse,
Make it neat, don’t make it worse!

[Verse 2]
He doesn’t like cats, does he?
When it’s negative, tag it bright,
Use the positive to get it right.
Example 2:
🌟 She can swim, can’t she?
Auxiliary verbs lead the way,
So your tag won’t go astray!

[Bridge]
If the main clause is past,
Like He went home, just add it fast:
🌟 He went home, didn’t he?
If there’s I am, the trick is clear,
🌟 I’m late, aren’t I?—have no fear!

[Outro – Spoken softly]
Just a little tag, at the end you say,
Turns a statement into a question—okay?
