“สวัสดีค่ะทุกคน! เคยสงสัยไหมคะ เวลาเราอ่านข่าวภาษาอังกฤษ แล้วเจอประโยคอย่าง ‘It is said that…’ หรือ ‘He is believed to…’ มันแปลว่าอะไรกันแน่? วันนี้ครูจินต์จะมาไขความลับเรื่อง Personal และ Impersonal Constructions ฉบับเข้าใจง่ายที่สุดในโลก! พร้อมแล้วไปลุยกันเลยค่ะ”

Personal – Impersonal Constructions คืออะไร

“ทั้งสองโครงสร้างนี้ จริงๆ มันคือ Passive Voice ประเภทหนึ่งค่ะที่เราใช้กับ Reporting Verbs หรือกริยาที่ใช้ในการ ‘บอกเล่า’ เช่น say (พูด), believe (เชื่อ), think (คิด), report (รายงาน) หรือ know (รู้) เราจะใช้มันตอนไหน? ก็ตอนที่เราอยากจะบอกว่า ‘เค้าลือกันว่า…’ หรือ ‘เชื่อกันว่า…’ โดยที่เราไม่เน้นว่า ‘ใคร’ เป็นคนพูด แต่เน้นที่ ‘เนื้อหา’ นั่นเองค่ะ ฟังดูเป็นทางการและดูโปรสุดๆ เลยล่ะ”

Impersonal Construction – แบบไม่เจาะจง

“มาดูแบบแรกก่อนค่ะ Impersonal Construction ชื่อบอกอยู่แล้วว่า ‘ไม่เจาะจง’ โครงสร้างนี้ง่ายระดับอนุบาลเลยค่ะ เพราะเราจะใช้คำว่า ‘It’ มาเป็นประธานสมมติ

สูตรคือ: It + is/was + V.3 + that + (ลอกประโยคเดิมมาเลย)

เช่น ถ้าประโยคปกติ (Active) บอกว่า: People say that he is a spy. (คนพูดกันว่าเขาเป็นสายลับ) พอเปลี่ยนเป็น Impersonal ก็จะได้: It is said that he is a spy. เห็นไหมคะ? แค่เปลี่ยน People เป็น It is said แล้วที่เหลือลอกมาวาง… จบ! ง่ายไหมคะ?”

Personal Construction – แบบเจาะจงประธาน

“ทีนี้มาดูแบบที่สอง Personal Construction อันนี้จะแอดวานซ์ขึ้นมานิดนึง เพราะเราจะดึง ‘คน’ ที่อยู่ในประโยคหลังมาเป็นประธานแทนค่ะ

สูตรหลักคือ: Subject (ตัวละครหลัก) + be + V.3 + to-infinitive

แต่เจ้าตัว ‘to’ เนี่ย ต้องระวังให้ดีนะคะ เพราะมันมี 3 กรณีตามกาลเวลา (Time) ค่ะ:

1. ถ้าเหตุการณ์เกิดขึ้นพร้อมกัน: ใช้ to + V.inf
   • Active: People believe that she works hard.
   • Personal: She is believed to work hard.
2. ถ้าเหตุการณ์ในอดีต (เกิดขึ้นก่อน): ใช้ to + have + V.3
   • Active: They report that the thief stole the money.
   • Personal: The thief is reported to have stolen the money. (โจรถูกรายงานว่าได้ขโมยเงินไปแล้ว)
3. ถ้ากำลังทำอยู่ (Continuous): ใช้ to + be + V.ing
   • Active: People think that Tom is sleeping.
   • Personal: Tom is thought to be sleeping.”

Summary – สรุปสั้นๆ “จำง่ายๆ นะคะ ถ้าใช้ It ให้ตามด้วย that… แต่ถ้าเอา คน ขึ้นต้น ให้ตามด้วย to ค่ะ!”
